Kesler's prize isn't making the rounds the way Vancouver Canucks teammate Roberto Luongo is toting around his gold. Coyotes acquire D Schneider from Canucks (AP)
The Phoenix Coyotes have made their third trade of the day, acquiring 40-year-old defenseman Mathieu Schneider from the Vancouver Canucks for defenseman Sean Zimmerman and a conditional draft pick this year. Senators F Shannon signs 1-year deal (AP)
Forward Ryan Shannon has signed a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators, the club said Friday. Shannon has five goals and 11 assists in 55 games for the Senators this season. Last season, Shannon had career highs with eight goals, 12 assists and 20 points.
